The flowers are made from Kingphaka's own clay formulation and with the use of oil paints to capture the coloration that is unique in every flower. The use of her air dry clay allows the flowers to stay flexible so that they keep their natural feel and the bright colors which stay for many years.

Making flowers use a several step process beginning with the preparation of patterns molds are prepared and clay is colored and clay is colored to match the colors of the particular species of flower. the proper preparation of the clay is very important to ensure that the characteristics the plant is captured and so that the final plant is lifelike. Once the clay is prepared it is rolled out and the various elements of the blossom can be created. The clay is pressed into hand made molds and shaped to recreate each of the petals and parts of the flower. The individual flower parts is shaped and allowed to dry. Once all the pieces of the flower is complete they are assembled into the final flower, followed by hand painting to give the flower its characteristic colors and markings. 

Once all the blossoms, stems, buds and leaves are assembled, Kingphaka uses her world class skill in flower arrangement to put together the final product, a unique, and beautiful arrangement that rivals natural flowers but will never whither and die.
